BLUETOOTH HEADSETS

Bluetooth (BT) is a short-range wireless technology, operating in the 2.4GHz RF range, and provides wireless connection between BT-enabled devices.

While initially created to connect peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.) to computers, this wireless technology has been adopted to connect headsets wirelessly to cellular telephone, mobile computers and other portable handheld devices.

If a computer is Bluetooth enabled, a Bluetooth headset can be wirelessly connected to the computer's audio In and Out functions for voice recognition (games or word processing) or telephony software.

The broadcast range, used by Bluetooth, has a limitation of about 10 meters (approximately 33 ft.)
